Editorial

The appointment of Emmanuel Osigwe as head coach of Kun Khalifat FC is a bold and move one that blends heritage with ambition. In elevating a former national team striker, the club is not merely looking for tactician it is embracing identity.

Osigwes playing days gave him a far-reaching perspective, and his coaching journey suggests he is ready to translate his experiences into leadership. This is a club that has already made waves by restructuring its entire technical staff midseason a dramatic act of self-belief. Now, with Osigwe at the helm, they send a message they trust in legacy, in vision, and in reimagination.

Yet this appointment is not without pressure. Kun Khalifat are new to the NPFL, and their early-season struggles prompted the overhaul. For Osigwe, success will not be measured just in points but in establishing a coherent structure, a style, and a culture.

If he succeeds, this could be more than a turnaround. It could become a foundation for long-term growth.
